Massimo Cruciotti

Massimo Cruciotti has been working in the archival sector for over 30 years, and for 20 years as a consultant for BUCAP Spa (a document management services company), in the following business areas: corporate, finance, industry and public administration.

Following the 2009 earthquake in L’Aquila, coping with the demand for specialist advice for retrieving and saving archival heritage and libraries, together with a team of entrepreneurs, he founded and was appointed Secretary of the no profit Association SOS Archivi. In 2014, he is elected President of the Association, a position he still holds.

Since 2017 he is a member of the Blue Shield Expert Network.

CONFERENCE CO-CHAIR

Micaela Procaccia

Micaela Procaccia is President of the Italian Archival National Association. For many years she was director of MiBACT, holding the positions of Archival Superintendent of Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta, director of the Archival Heritage Service of the Archives General Directorate and ad interim Archival and Bibliographic Superintendent of Tuscany and Superintendent of the Italian Central State Archive.

Among other positions, she was the Italian representative in the archives Commission of the International Tracing Service, registered in the UNESCO Memory of the World Register; member of the Committee for the application of the MiBACT-Ministry of Justice agreement for the digitization of processes with particular historical importance; she was also member and then coordinator of the Commission for the application of the “Direttiva Renzi”, curator of the thematic trail “Gli archivi dell’Inquisizione in Italia” (The archives of the Inquisition in Italy) in the unified information system of the Archival Superintendencies (www.siusa.archivi.beniculturali.it), responsible for the portal “Carte da legare. Archivi della psichiatria in Italia” (Raving papers. Archives of psychiatry in Italy) (www.cartedalegare.san.beniculturali.it).

HONORARY PRESIDENT

Anna Maria Buzzi

Anna Maria Buzzi began her administrative career in the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities (MiBAC) by directing the training division in the Directorate-General for Personnel. Successively, as a national archivist director, she coordinated the Inspectorate at the General Direction of Archives (DGA). From 2001 to 2004, she coordinated the international activity of the Ministry as the national authority within the European Community for the restitution of illegally exported objects belonging to the national cultural heritage. In 2004 she assumed the functions of Director General, initially as a staff member in the Ministry Cabinet, then at the General Secretariat with the mandate to investigate the issues related to the marketing and the promotion of the cultural heritage of the nation. In 2011 the Presidency of the Council of Ministers appointed her to the Board of Public Directors, on matters concerning managerial responsibility. From 2012 to 2014 she worked as Director-General for the promotion of the cultural heritage. Between 2016 and 2018, she was Director of the Independent Body of Studies on the Measurement of Performance.

Since 2019 she has been serving as Director-General of the DGA.
